Position Overview:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will assist in providing personalized care to patients, aiming to help them achieve their highest level of health. Collaboration is key; you will work alongside a team, understanding the significance of collective objectives. Your responsibilities will include performing specific clinical tasks and non-clinical support duties essential for patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, or enrollment in a healthcare career program, and/or current employment with Mercy.
  • Licensure: Not required.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary; Mercy will provide a mandatory 175-hour training program in accordance with state health regulations, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire, along with completion of PCA competencies within three months.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, walking, gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is advantageous.
