Role Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for their appointments by:
  • Conducting the Advanced Standard room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, and reviewing medical history and allergies.
  • Performing thorough medication reconciliations and utilizing the Encounter Guide to address any open care gaps, such as screenings for depression, breast cancer, and diabetes.
  • Assisting with in-office testing, including blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administering vaccines and injections as permitted by your scope of practice.
  • Coordinating follow-up appointments in accordance with office policies.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective delivery of care plans.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.

Certification:
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.

Additional Qualifications for LPNs:
Education:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing required.

Licensure:
- Active LPN licensure required.
