We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Automation Engineer to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and testing control systems, electrical panels, and automation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems, including electrical control panels, and automation equipment.
  • Conduct analytical assessments and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Lead projects independently, providing technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning tasks, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Modify and upgrade existing systems to meet evolving business needs.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA software, including Siemens Step 7/WinCC/TIA Portal and Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley RSLogix5000.
  • Background in computer programming, with experience in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of hazardous area equipment and installation requirements, including ATEX, IECEx, NEC, NFPA, and DNV, ABS, API, and MODU codes/standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical controls and automation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in various computer skills, including MS-Office Suite, CAD, and similar design software.
