Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting area supervisors and equipment operators by ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment that adheres to food safety standards. This position requires effective planning, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills to uphold the company's sanitation protocols. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are vital for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and visually appealing facility in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Regularly inspect the facility's surroundings, including parking areas and loading docks, for maintenance needs.
  • Order and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Remove waste materials from production areas to uphold a tidy work environment.
  • Safely operate facility equipment following company guidelines.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment as required for maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Perform cleaning duties in various areas including breakrooms, kitchens, restrooms, and offices.
  • Assist with minor repairs such as drywall and painting as needed.
  • Support supervisory staff by ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure compliance with sanitation requirements.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in preparing equipment for preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, twist, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Availability for weekends and overtime as required.
Compensation:

Salary range: $18-$21 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
