Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Join the Better Health Group team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and play a vital role in delivering exceptional medical care to patients. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Practice medicine under the supervision of a physician, utilizing sound medical judgment and adhering to ethical considerations.
  • Provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, working under the supervision of a physician.
  • Accountable for patient care and outcomes, seeking consultation from specialists when needed.
  • Engage with hospitalists to ensure seamless care for patients in the hospital.
  • Meet all clinical obligations, including accreditation, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and provide care coordination and documentation for patients with complex health needs.
  • Follow internal policies and procedures, maintaining complete and detailed records of patient care.
  • Provide patients with information to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent/manage disease or disability.
  • Analyze and interpret patient data, developing appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Exhibit compassion, quality, loyalty, and conscientiousness in all interactions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and team members.
  • Document continuing education and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Enact proper chain of command for patient complaints and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Certified as a nurse practitioner with current state licensure.
  • At least 1 year of previous professional nursing experience, with 1-3 years experience as a primary care nurse practitioner.
  • Prior experience working in an electronic medical records system.
  • Provide 5-Star service in accordance with the Better Health Group's mission.
  • Skilled in traditional nursing disciplines of patient assessment and management.
  • ACLS/BLS certification required as mandated by state.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the rationale of appropriate patient care.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, teaching ability, and good telephone skills.
  • Working knowledge with Google Suite and Microsoft Office for real-time collaboration.
Physical Requirements:
  • Full range of body motion, including handling and transferring patients, manual and finger dexterity.
  • Requires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching at arm's length and overhead in a clinic for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and move patients and medical equipment as needed.
  • Requires ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have own means of transportation.

  • Diagnose and manage chronic diseases, such as Diabetes, Atherosclerotic Disease, COPD, CHF, Obesity, etc in the senior population.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000 per year.
