Emergency Department Registered Nurse

The RN Clinical Nurse Emergency Department is a key member of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who provide high-quality patient care. As a proactive and collaborative team player, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
Core Responsibilities- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to population-specific characteristics, such as age, gender, and disease.
- Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve care goals, using effective communication methods like bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a qualified workforce and modeling the professional practice of nursing.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
- Participate in activities like value analysis to evaluate patient care products and uphold health care system/organizational policies and procedures.
- Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum, ensuring efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
- Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
Diploma from an accredited nursing program or a Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact, Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional, Pediatric Advanced Life Support-Preferred or PALS - Instructor-Preferred or PALS - Provisional-Preferred.

Required Minimum ExperienceMinimum 2 years RN experience.
Required Minimum SkillsAbility to read, write, and speak English, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care, and hold basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies using a decisive, composed, and respectful manner. Possess excellent time management skills and practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills.
