We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients, helping them to achieve their full potential and overcome communication and swallowing challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental and/or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate patient and family needs, goals, and objectives.
- Administer therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Educate patients, parents, and caregivers on treatment goals, therapy plans, and strategies for continued progress at home.
- Document patient evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress towards goals, ensuring compliance with hospital and accrediting association requirements.
- Communicate patient status and collaborate with physicians, third-party payors, and relevant healthcare providers.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Ohio License in Speech Pathology.
- Certification in Speech Pathology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- CPR certification.
- Previous pediatric experience desirable.
