Role Responsibilities:

As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will be the friendly face of our store, dedicated to assisting customers and addressing their concerns with professionalism and warmth.

Your role will involve:

  • Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring that all team members deliver a swift, friendly, and helpful shopping experience.
  • Thriving in a busy environment; being self-driven and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Leading and motivating store staff to achieve their best performance.
  • Overseeing daily financial reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks, including bank deposits.
  • Exercising assertive leadership to delegate tasks and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the Store Manager and Sales Associates.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Supporting management in the recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of employees.
  • Assisting in the organization of monthly store meetings and the implementation of customer service strategies.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of our POS systems to monitor daily operations, including reporting, pricing updates, and facility management.
  • Understanding and applying relevant laws and regulations related to retail sales and employment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in a dynamic retail, food service, or fuel environment.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers, team members, vendors, and management.
  • Proficient judgment skills for addressing customer and employee concerns.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, along with a working knowledge of internet and email applications.
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods and perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, with documentation of auto insurance coverage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of math, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Intermediate skills in communication, customer service, and management.

Education:

Associates degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
