Vascular Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing and documenting vascular studies in our Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients to determine their suitability for procedures, review previous examination results, and consult with the Chief Sonographer or reading physician as needed.
- Obtain medical history from patients, explain testing procedures, and develop the ability to perform noninvasive peripheral vascular ultrasound tests efficiently and accurately.
- Develop the ability to identify anatomic structures without direct supervision, determine absence, presence, and extent of disease, and provide descriptive, concise information for the physicians' final report.
- Minimum of a college undergraduate degree
- Certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
- RVT or RVT eligible (an examination of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
- Related diagnostic ultrasound experience from past employment or training program
- Certified in CPR
The Vascular Sonographer will work in a normal working environment with minimal discomfort due to temperature, noise, etc. However, the job may be stressful on busy days. Some exposure to infectious diseases is possible, but actual incidence is low if infection control guidelines are followed.
