Nurse Practitioner

Nuvance Health is a network of hospitals and outpatient locations offering a range of healthcare services. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope of practice.
You will collaborate with patients, family members, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing and evaluating medical and nursing regimens in accordance with hospital and nursing philosophy, policies, and standards.
You will demonstrate leadership skills and commitment to professional accountability and growth. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong educational background and relevant experience in nursing.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Level Degree (required) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
License, Registration, or Certification Requirements:
- Current and unobstructed New York State Registered Nurse (NY Hospitals) license.
- Current and unobstructed Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT Hospitals).
- New graduates awaiting licensure at the discretion of the Chief Nursing Officer (CT only).
- American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification Preferred.
Training Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required for specific units and locations.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required for pediatric areas.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for neonatal areas.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required within 1 year of hire.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required within 1 year of hire.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification required within 1 year of hire.
- TCAR (Trauma Care for the Advanced Registered Nurse) certification required within 1 year of hire.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required within 1 year of hire.
Location: Nuvance Health hospitals and outpatient locations.
Work Type: Per Diem.
Standard Hours: 0.01.
FTE: Not applicable.
Work Schedule: Night 12.
Work Shift: Org Unit: 1262.
Department: Rehab Unit.
Exempt: No.
Grade: S11.
Salary Range: $ Hourly.
