Field Support Engineer

Core Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role, with the possibility of additional tasks being assigned:
- Handles inquiries and feedback from the field regarding the performance of reciprocating compressors.
- Conducts inspections and failure assessments on returned components, documenting the causes of failures and necessary corrective measures. Prepares external reports as needed.
- Contributes to the creation of project documentation and offers on-site assistance for various projects.
- Completes snapshot evaluations and shares findings with clients.
- Identifies and recommends enhancements to improve compressor reliability.
- Willingness to travel extensively (50% to 60% of the time).
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below reflect the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in engineering from an accredited institution, combined with two to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Fundamental mechanical and electrical skills, along with familiarity with tools and safe work practices.
- Basic comprehension of reciprocating machinery, electrical systems, and hydraulic operations.
- Proficient technical writing skills, capable of producing detailed reports that document observations, discuss technical challenges, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical specifications.
- Desirable experience includes:
- Condition monitoring of machinery.
- Aptitude for mechanical systems in commissioning and troubleshooting tasks.
