About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Clinical Services to lead our youth clinical programs at Ruby's Place. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of clinical services for youth and young adults, ensuring that our programs are trauma-informed and client-centered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee all aspects of the clinical department related to youth programs, collaborating with the Associate Director of Clinical Services (Adult) and the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Short Term Residential Program (STRTP) serving youth, ensuring compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) guidelines and requirements.
  • Manage Medi-cal charting and county guidelines as required by CCL.
  • Oversee clinical aspects for unaccompanied youth referred by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), ensuring full compliance with ORR guidelines and expectations.
  • Evaluate existing contract compliance, monitoring, and reporting to ensure all goals are being met.
  • Supervise the Nurse Practitioner who supports youth programs.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of all existing and upcoming grants related to youth, ensuring the quality of care for clients and meeting deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors to ensure all youth participants of clinical programs at Ruby's Place receive mental health services and necessary referrals.
  • Provide consultation on any CPS and APS reporting as needed.
  • Provide individual administrative, clinical, and reflective supervision to all designated staff serving youth and young adults.
  • Participate in the monthly Director's Meeting and actively contribute to the leadership team.
Requirements
  • A clinical supervisor with experience supervising trainees, associates, and licensed clinicians.
  • Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP).
  • A person with a Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience at a shelter or residential setting managing youth clinical services and supervising clinical staff with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • A passion for working with youth and young adults and the determination to follow all guidelines and requirements to ensure continuity of care as related to services for youth.
  • Understanding of, and sensitivity to, serving diverse populations as it relates to family dynamics and other aspects of cultural practice particularly as related to youth.
  • Experience working with youth clinicians and staff who support unaccompanied youth.
  • Experience working with youth programs that operate under the community care licensing requirements.
  • Experience working with medical staff such as nurse practitioners.
  • Experience working with Medi-cal charting.
  • A strong clinical, administrative, and organizational skills to lead the youth program to success.
  • Open to learning, being flexible, taking accountability, and being proactive.
  • Knowledge of community resources, community-based organizations, and social services providers.
  • Someone with the State mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking counselor certification (this can be scheduled after date of hire).
  • In possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by Ruby's Place insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles.
  • Able to complete a background check, fingerprinting (Live Scan), and completion of all Community Care Licensing requirement documents.
  • Able to meet all licensing requirements of Community Care Licensing.
  • Able to successfully complete suitability assessment per grant requirements of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
  • Able to successfully complete all background requirements of funders including but not limited to STRTP and Alcove.
