Job Summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and support our medical professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health status and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, performing physicals, and administering medications
  • Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems
  • Respond to emergencies and use CPR as necessary
  • Document patient information and care provided in patient records
Requirements
  • BA/BS, MS preferred; graduate of AMA-accredited physician assistant program or approved nurse practitioner program
  • Minimum of one year experience as physician assistant, preferably in a clinic setting
  • Valid PA license for the state of North Carolina, certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols, administration of medications, and delivering physical care following treatment plans
  • Ability to assess patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth indices
  • Ability to develop health education programs and work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team
Work Environment

Medical office and exam room settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic. Frequent contact with a variety of people.
