About the Role
St. David's North Austin Medical Center is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and is seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Performing patient assessments and developing individualized plans of care
- Implementing and evaluating care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborating with the care team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care
- Administering medications and completing treatments according to hospital policy
- Delegating work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
- Providing pre- and post-operative patient care
- Providing education and support to patients and families
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- An Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- A current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
