- Location: Weed Army Community Hospital
- Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 1845 to 0715, including weekends and federal holidays. Potential for 8-hour shifts based on clinic needs.
- Compensation: $61.77/hr (Shift differentials for nights and weekends)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program recognized by relevant state agencies.
- Experience: Minimum of one year as a registered nurse in the specified specialty.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS)/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)/Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as required.
- Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination areas prior to patient visits.
- Perform and complete assigned nursing duties for diverse patient populations.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Gather and record patient medical history and current medications.
- Support complex diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of examination rooms.
- Process lab and imaging requisitions in line with clinic protocols.
- Input patient demographic information accurately during check-in.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Adhere to established standards of care and clinical guidelines.
- Conduct physical assessments and health history evaluations.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
- Administer medications and perform wound care as necessary.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
- Coordinate referrals and specialty care as required.
- Engage in research to enhance nursing practices and patient outcomes.
Work Environment: The role will be based at the Mother Baby Unit of the Weed Army Community Hospital. Notification of any location changes will be provided in advance.
Schedule Flexibility: The facility operates 24/7, with an average of 80 hours of work every two weeks. Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
