Job Summary:

Northshore is seeking an Occupational Therapist II to provide direct occupational therapy services to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical skill set, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay updated on developments in the field of occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates patients in areas of upper extremity function, activities of daily living, generalized physical functioning, psychosocial skills, and cognition/perception to develop and implement treatment plans and goals.
Provides direct occupational therapy services to patients, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals.
Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of occupational therapy.

Requirements:

Current State of Illinois Occupational Therapist licensure.
Current American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider or American Red Cross CRP/AED for the professional rescuer certification.
Authorization from the NCBOT to take examination.
Proof of scheduled exam date.
Letter of Authorization stating the applicant may practice work without their license under supervision.
Illinois Occupational Therapist license within 90 days of hire.
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification.
