About the Role
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Movable Bridge Design Engineer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a key member of our regional bridge team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in movable bridge design and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams on movable bridge design and project management.
- Develop and implement design strategies for complex bridge projects, including movable bridges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical reports, documents, and client communication.
- Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, and construction cost estimates.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field, plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Ability to pass MVR check.
- SE license in the state of IL or WI, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- Knowledge of 3D finite element software, such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.
- Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.
