Mendon Truck Leasing and Rental, part of the PETIT FORESTIER GROUP, is seeking a dedicated Parts Inventory Coordinator responsible for managing the reception, storage, and distribution of essential parts, supplies, and equipment crucial for the efficient operation of trucks, vans, and specialized machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to ensure the availability of necessary parts, fostering a profitable parts department.
  • Track the movement of inventory; oversee new additions and removals from the fleet.
  • Maintain accurate computerized inventory records.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of all stock items.
  • Manage the ordering and upkeep of both stock and non-stock parts through external suppliers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Verify deliveries against invoices to ensure accuracy in billing and shipping.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and internal teams for streamlined operations.
  • Request and document quotes from suppliers.
  • Coordinate outsourced labor services as needed.
  • Process warranty claims for equipment still under warranty.
  • Analyze departmental data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in vehicle parts supply and inventory management, including fleet maintenance; or a suitable combination of training and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Familiarity with vehicle components.
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory management procedures and practices.
  • Proficient in computerized inventory systems and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.
  • Capability to assess competitive products.
  • Effective application of supply and inventory management practices.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain precise inventory records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong prioritization skills.

Additional Information:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Compensation: $26.44/hour (equivalent to $45,760 to $55,000 annually)
