**Job Description:**

The role of the Electrical Engineer at Delek US Holdings involves providing support to the maintenance department in equipment and systems testing, specification, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This includes supporting all capital projects, outages, and turnover activities involving electrical equipment and power distribution systems throughout the facility.

This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering principles, practices, and methods used in the operation, maintenance, and construction of an electrical power transmission and distribution system. The successful candidate will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical drawings, diagrams, and sketches.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and four or more years of oil and gas experience. They will also have comprehensive knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks

• Plans, designs, and writes specifications for power distribution equipment, MCCs, drives, etc.

• Conducts Code reviews to ensure compliance from a number of codes and standards

• Designs and works with power distribution and utility interconnections

• Reviews and coordinates activities involving switching, maintenance, and operation of the electrical power system

• Inspects field work to ensure conformance with plans and specifications; to ensure proper and safe working environment

• Directs and reviews power distribution operating procedures

• Identifies and recommends changes in existing power distribution system and suggests changes in plans to meet operational or department requirements and regulations

• Develops, recommends, and implements solid engineering solutions for system tolerance problems

• Supports capital projects by collaborating with other departments and specifying, accepting, and overseeing installation of power distribution equipment

• Studies performance and reliability of existing equipment and establishes programs and solutions for decreasing equipment downtime

• Eliminates/reduces equipment defects

• Troubleshoots electrical equipment and power distribution system, determines root cause, and takes corrective action to resolve system failures
