Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Depth Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Camera Technologies group, you'll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for camera systems, from sensor to lens. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new testers and critical optical components to meet design requirements for calibration and test.
- Develop and deploy software that calibrates and tests imaging systems.
- Analyze volume data to provide guidance on engineering decisions.
- Travel to vendors and partner facilities is required during new product development, up to 10-15%.
- BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Experience in image processing or software development.
- Strong understanding of imaging systems, camera technology.
- Programming experience with Matlab/C++ preferred.
- Exceptional Mechanical/HW/SW problem-solving and optimization skill.
- Self-motivated professional. Good team player with passion.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
