Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cash Poster to join our team at Medix. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of cash receivables to patient accounts, ensuring that all payments from group health payers, governmental agencies, patients, and private pay methods are properly processed and applied.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve accurate payment posting based on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies and government agencies in the applicable Practice Management (PM) system.
  • Post patient payments in a timely manner, applying to appropriate line items in the applicable PM system.
  • Efficiently and accurately post adjustments.
  • Communicate payment variances from third-party and government agency payers to the Transaction Supervisor.
  • Perform batching and reconciliation workflows in alignment with CBO policies and procedures.
  • Research and resolve unapplied/unidentified payments to ensure correct distribution among providers.
  • Transfer payments to the Central Business Office (CBO) as necessary, following transfer-out procedures.
  • Process zero-pay EOBs and refer them to appropriate CBO resources for follow-up and resolution.
  • Comply with CBO quality and production standards, performing work in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Assist with cash reconciliation and account balancing, liaising with finance/ledger to confirm and verify discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of recent experience in Cash Posting, Payment Posting, or Cash Applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Ability to provide proof of employment for the last two employers (W-2s, pay stubs, etc.).
Schedule/Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (CST)

Hybrid role- 3 days remote & 2 onsite
