You will manage a diverse portfolio of electric utility projects, encompassing transmission lines, distribution lines, and substation engineering across the nation. Reporting to senior management, you will be an integral part of our established Project Management Office (PMO), focusing on portfolio oversight, team leadership, and driving special initiatives. Additionally, you will lead significant proposals, supervise a team of project coordinators, and ensure the successful execution of projects while upholding Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.

As a Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading project teams to complete engineering designs for various electrical infrastructure projects for construction clients nationwide
  • Taking responsibility for overall project performance, reporting, and nurturing strategic relationships
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and scopes, including developing recovery plans to remain within approved limits
  • Directly interfacing with clients and internal management to resolve issues and report on progress, costs, schedule adherence, and risks
  • Ensuring compliance with contracts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Driving results by coordinating with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
  • Documenting adherence to quality control processes
  • Communicating effectively with clients, internal project teams, various engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
  • Preparing bid documents, developing cost estimates, and responding to requests for proposals
  • Completing client invoicing and accruals within designated timeframes
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance existing partnerships and cultivate new relationships
This role is hybrid, requiring some time spent working from our office. Candidates must be available to report to the office a few days per week to be considered for this position.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a closely related field
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant Project Management experience in the electric power sector
  • Familiarity with US electric utilities and understanding of business challenges related to power delivery services and electric power infrastructure projects
  • Experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting project financial performance
  • Proven success in change management
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking aptitude
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Workfront, Pro Core, MS Project, P6) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Periodic travel may be necessary; candidates should possess a valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a consulting role for US electric utilities
  • PMP Certification
  • Previous experience with Substation and/or Transmission Line projects
