Job Title: Principal Engineer, Networking

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at DISH Network L.L.C. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-native, hybrid cloud enterprise platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement platform solutions and tools at the enterprise level
  • Provide guidance to engineering teams on development standards, automation, and tools
  • Develop and apply Access Control Lists and Security Groups to protect virtual assets and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a customer-centric, highly personalized approach to the evolution of our platform
  • Design and support secure networks within and across accounts in AWS Control Tower
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional enterprise development, operations, SRE, platform, and/or infrastructure experience
  • Experience with networking concepts, cloud WAN, private links, VPC peering, network services, and understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite
  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems with multiple variables
  • Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical leaders
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux, as well as DevOps skills around CI/CD and experience with tools such as GitLab
