Kitchen Steward

We are seeking a committed Kitchen Steward to contribute to our operations at Avocet Hospitality Group. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that we provide exceptional service in the food and beverage sector.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Kitchen Steward will play a vital role in ensuring a sanitary kitchen environment, assisting with dishwashing duties, and contributing to overall guest satisfaction.

KEY DUTIES:

• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen space
• Set up and manage dishwashing stations effectively
• Properly wash, stack, and store kitchen utensils and dishes
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required
• Follow directives from culinary and management staff
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma is preferred
• Previous experience in a stewarding or dishwashing role is advantageous
• Essential Skills: Strong customer service, organizational skills, ability to multitask, and effective communication

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Equipment Used: Dishwashing machine, cleaning tools
• Must be capable of meeting physical demands such as prolonged standing, lifting items over 30 pounds, and working in a high-temperature kitchen setting
