We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Order Verification: Verify medication orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that patients receive the right medication at the right time.
- Optimal Drug Product Selection: Collaborate with healthcare teams to select the most appropriate medication products for patients, taking into account their medical history, allergies, and other factors.
- Drug Therapy Monitoring: Monitor patients' medication regimens to ensure they are receiving the best possible care, and make adjustments as needed.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and share your knowledge with colleagues to enhance the quality of care.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. PGY-2 residency preferred for specialty areas.
- Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The job requires sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive motion (typing), and proficiency in communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Ability to lift, push, and pull is also required.
