Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at M Health Fairview, Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room and ensure a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons by supplying instruments, suture, and specialty items.
- Maintain accurate identification and handling of specimens.
- Count and verify all required sponges, sharps, and instruments.
- Ensure availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment.
- Complete one of the following by hire date: Military Surgical Assistant, LPN (licensed in MN) Surgical Assistant, or Surgical Technologist training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date).
- Preferred qualifications include AST certification or certification eligible at time of hire, 1 to 3 years surgical tech experience, and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
