Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly of diverse products, including wiring harnesses, cables, and electronic monitoring systems.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance production processes, thereby adding value to our offerings.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all quality and production documentation.
- Conduct testing of products throughout the assembly process and post-assembly.
- Maintain a safe working environment by routinely inspecting the workspace and addressing any hazards.
- Undertake additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- A diploma from a technical institution or equivalent experience (minimum of 2 years) is essential.
- Proficient in handling wires and cables, including preparation, cutting, panel assembly, stripping, and terminating.
- Exceptional soldering skills for both electronic and electrical components are necessary.
- Training in IPC/WHMA standard 620C for cable and wire harness assemblies is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Competence in using both power and non-power hand tools, such as drill presses, cutting devices, and termination tools.
- Experience with resistance, hi-pot, continuity, and computerized testing tools like DVM/DMM.
- Capability to measure in both English and metric units and perform conversions.
- Desirable knowledge of piston engine functions and designs, including diesel and gas engines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of mechanical/structural design, electrical schematics, and electronic components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Ability to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in repairing engines, generators, turbines, motors, or gears.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Professional experience with leading brands of generators or engines is highly desirable.
