Job Title: General Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Superintendent to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on our construction sites, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee all stages of project life cycle and manage construction projects from planning to implementation.
* Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors.
* Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
* Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
* Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
* Review the work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules as needed.
* Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
* Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
* Implement cost control measures to ensure project completion within budget.
* Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
* Proven experience with multi-family construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
* Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
* Competent in conflict and crisis management.
* Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
* Proficient in construction estimating and cost control.
* Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to implement them.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
* BSc/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant field is preferred.
* Valid construction and safety certifications are a plus.
