Job Title: Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Jobot, a leading general contractor specializing in various projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Key responsibilities include managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, developing project schedules, and implementing cost control measures.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules and monitor progress to keep the project on track.
  • Implement cost control measures to keep the project within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management.
  • Implement and maintain safety standards on the construction site to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in subcontractor management, construction management, contract negotiation, safety compliance, construction planning, site management, construction safety, building codes, cost control, project scheduling, and contract management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • A deep understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in construction software and project management tools.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
