Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate customer requirements into precise hardware and software specifications.
  • Conduct technical trade studies to identify optimal design solutions.
  • Use Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) to develop functional, architectural, and detailed designs.
  • Collaborate on the development of test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
  • Integrate hardware and software, conduct regression tests, and support flight tests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure system functionality.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure technical parameters and interfaces are aligned.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience with some or all of the following: Mission Planning, Mission Management, Aviation Human Factors/Human Machine Interface, Cockpit Avionics, Air Data Computer, Navigation & Guidance, Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Integration, Radio Frequency (RF) Domain knowledge, Comm & Datalinks (Link 16, Blue Force Tracker).
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).
  • Experience with the Agile process.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
  • System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
