Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineer to join our Mission Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative design solutions for avionics subsystems throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Translate customer requirements into precise hardware and software specifications.
- Conduct technical trade studies to identify optimal design solutions.
- Use Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to develop functional, architectural, and detailed designs.
- Collaborate on the development of test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
- Integrate hardware and software, conduct regression tests, and support flight tests.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure system functionality.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure technical parameters and interfaces are aligned.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 9+ years of professional experience; or 7 + years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Experience with some or all of the following: Mission Planning, Mission Management, Aviation Human Factors / Human Machine Interface, Cockpit Avionics, Air Data Computer, Navigation & Guidance, Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Integration, Radio Frequency (RF) Domain knowledge, Comm & Datalinks (Link 16, Blue Force Tracker), DO-254 / DO-178, Advanced Teaming / Unmanned Aerial Systems, Survivability, Future Airborne Capability Environment(r) development.
- Requirements development and System Design - Functional System Diagrams, FACE, Data Modelling, SysML, DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – Preferably Cameo.
- Product Line Software Development.
- Experience with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).
- Experience with the Agile process.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
- System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
