Key Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides essential support and assistance with daily living activities, enabling clients to maintain their independence at home.

Specific Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene; including hair care, oral hygiene, and skin care.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Ensure safe transportation for clients when required, adhering to all traffic regulations.
  • Support household tasks that are directly related to the client's personal care needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of six months experience in a home care setting is preferred.
  • Completion of a competency evaluation is required.

Licensing Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR certification is necessary.

State-Specific Training

In Tennessee, candidates must complete a total of seventy-five (75) hours of training, including sixteen (16) hours of clinical training within the first three months of employment, and be qualified to provide basic services such as personal care and essential household tasks.
