We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a part-time Childcare Assistant for our After School Program at Pine Valley Elementary in South Dayton, NY.

Job Summary:

The Before and After School Program Assistant will assist with hands-on activities, create a safe and healthy environment, and stay connected with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities following our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, artsy creations, and homework help.
  • Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment for kids to thrive.
  • Stay connected with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App.
  • Follow OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school rules.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (not required).
  • Background check, fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
  • Medically fit to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases.
  • Warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and keep up with kids.
