Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst

  • Provide technical and functional support for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other homegrown applications.
  • Develop a strong capacity for understanding, documenting, and implementing business processes.
  • Support and train users on system and business processes, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization.
  • Manage assigned small projects through the entirety of a project life cycle, from initiation to completion.
  • Participate in our branch/department rotation program, remaining engaged and flexible to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Function as a valuable resource, maintaining a critical eye for potential process improvements or automation opportunities.

Qualifications of the Business Systems Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, or a related field.
  • Experience in Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with a strong understanding of their functionality and applications.
  • Basic SQL query writing skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
  • Ability to travel as needed, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
