Pharmacy Technician Inpatient III Fhhi

As a Pharmacy Technician Inpatient III Fhhi, you will play a vital role in the operations of our pharmacy department. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will prepare and distribute medication, perform essential functions, and oversee the training of new technician staff. This is a hybrid position, working primarily 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with varying start times between 7am and 9am.
Responsibilities- Prepare and distribute medication according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department.
- Oversee the training of new technician staff.
- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
- For decentralized technicians, a minimum of 3 years of work experience in an outpatient/community pharmacy is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
