Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II to join our Land Development Group in our Washington, DC office.
As a Civil Project Engineer II, you will perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will have experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills
- Prepare specifications materials through research and manufacturing catalogs
- Work to complete design details and plan sets
- Perform research and write objective summary reports
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
- Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties
- Communicate with client staff and internal design team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degree
- Two to four years of experience in land development civil engineering, EIT preferred
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D required
