Civil Project Engineer

Timmons Group is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design- Transportation professional to join our Transportation Design Group located in our Charlottesville, VA office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects using relevant software and technologies.
- Conduct engineering calculations and problem-solving using formulas and computer-aided tools.
- Prepare specifications and materials for projects, including research and cataloging.
- Collaborate with senior engineering staff to complete design details and plan sets.
- Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed.
- Communicate with clients and internal design teams as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and AutoDesk Civil 3D.
- VDOT experience and EIT certification preferred.
