Position: Adjunct Faculty in Biology

Department: School of Physical, Biological, and Marine/Environmental Science

Teaching Opportunities: Face-to-face and online teaching positions available across all campuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree with graduate-level coursework in Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver courses in alignment with institutional and departmental guidelines, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
  • Timely preparation and submission of grade reports and other assessments of student performance.
  • Organize class activities and assignments, ensuring they align with the overall learning objectives of the course.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to review, create, and/or select course-related materials.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of the subject matter relevant to the instructional role.
  • Understanding of effective communication and instructional methodologies.
  • Awareness of the characteristics and challenges faced by community college students.
  • Familiarity with principles of curriculum development.
  • Proficient in computer use and navigation within a Windows environment.
