Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging and effective nursing courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
  • Student Assessment and Evaluation: Assess the needs of students in the clinical area and provide meaningful learning experiences, including orienting students to the clinical area and serving as a role model.
  • Student Evaluation and Feedback: Complete formative and summative student evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Record Keeping: Submit records of student performance to the course leader.
  • Other Responsibilities: Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives, and contribute to the development of nursing programs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, and a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong clinical and professional skills, basic life support certification, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2 years of teaching experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
