Job Description

**Import Coordinator / Customs Specialist**

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Import Coordinator / Customs Specialist to join our team in Cypress, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the company's import compliance program
  • Manage daily import activities, including interactions with customer brokers
  • Classify products for import, including harmonized tariff schedule codes and Country of Origin
  • Interface with the compliance team to ensure all work processes are in compliance with US trade regulations
  • Draft and update import procedures, instructions, forms, and templates
  • Provide guidance on documentation, recordkeeping, classification, origin determination, and customs valuation

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of import or customs experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test

  • Competitive pay rate: $25-30/hour
