Overview

Riverside Health System is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care services to patients, working under the direction of the leadership team to ensure safe practices and support best practices as recommended by the American Association of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate treatment plans for respiratory care.
  • Complete documentation and ensure all orders are current, completed, or discontinued.
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and in-services related to improving Riverside Health System's Respiratory Care Services.
  • Utilize proper infection control techniques in performance of duties.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to create treatment plans and evaluate progress.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree, Respiratory Therapy or Related Field (Required) or Bachelors Degree, Respiratory Therapy or Related Field (Preferred).
  • 1 year Respiratory Therapist experience (Preferred).

Licenses and Certifications

  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RCP license with the Virginia Department of Health Professions Upon Hire (Required),
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Upon Hire (Required),
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required),
  • ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 1 Year (Required), and
  • PALS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 1 Year (Preferred).

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
