Security Officer Role

Doyle Security Services, Inc. is a leading provider of security solutions, seeking experienced professionals to fill the position of Security Officer in the Philadelphia area.

Job Summary: As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for observing and reporting activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel.

  • Conduct regular site patrols to identify and report any irregularities or potential security threats.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure effective security operations and the development of security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure exits of residence halls and campus buildings, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
  • Conduct foot and mobile patrols of the campus to identify and respond to potential security threats.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and de-escalate disturbances on campus, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
  • Respond to security alarms and incidents, taking prompt and effective action to resolve the situation.
  • Complete incident reports and provide detailed documentation of security incidents.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including assigning work, coordinating workflow, and providing guidance and support to security officers.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and possess excellent physical stamina.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Must be able to verbally de-escalate situations and possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to various locations as required.
