Patient Safety Specialist II

Job Summary
The Patient Safety Specialist II role is a critical position within MaineHealth, responsible for monitoring and responding to patient safety events and risk management concerns. This individual will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to patient safety events and risk management concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and implement safety improvements
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to patient safety
- Provide education and training to staff on patient safety best practices
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent training with at least five years of relevant healthcare experience OR Bachelor's Degree with at least three years of relevant healthcare experience
- Three years of relevant healthcare experience required, with a focus on patient safety and risk management
