About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality engineering projects for the U.S. Department of Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for design projects, interfacing with client representatives, internal project management, and engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain frequent and consistent communication with clients, partners, and APTIM leadership on project status
  • Provide direction and oversight to engineering design leads on assigned projects
  • Responsible for executing engineering deliverables, including project schedules, budgets, document controls, and staffing
  • Establish and develop project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and engineering requirements
  • Identify conflicts, requests, and requirements and liaise with the engineering team
  • Maintain a focus on APTIM's end product, whether engineering, fabrication, procurement, or construction
  • Support development of contract proposals
  • As needed, visit project sites to monitor activities throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a US Security Clearance to support the projects
  • Requires a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of program- or project-specific standards, procedures, and correspondence
  • Well organized and confident in communicating to clients and internal team
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multi-discipline architect and engineering teams from design through construction and project closeout
  • Experience relaying technical subject matter to diverse audiences
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to support project needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous DOE project experience
  • ASME NQA-1 experience
  • Current or former US security clearance
  • Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce consolidated designs
