We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality engineering projects for the U.S. Department of Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for design projects, interfacing with client representatives, internal project management, and engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain frequent and consistent communication with clients, partners, and APTIM leadership on project status
- Provide direction and oversight to engineering design leads on assigned projects
- Responsible for executing engineering deliverables, including project schedules, budgets, document controls, and staffing
- Establish and develop project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and engineering requirements
- Identify conflicts, requests, and requirements and liaise with the engineering team
- Maintain a focus on APTIM's end product, whether engineering, fabrication, procurement, or construction
- Support development of contract proposals
- As needed, visit project sites to monitor activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a US Security Clearance to support the projects
- Requires a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of program- or project-specific standards, procedures, and correspondence
- Well organized and confident in communicating to clients and internal team
- Demonstrated experience in leading multi-discipline architect and engineering teams from design through construction and project closeout
- Experience relaying technical subject matter to diverse audiences
- Candidate must be willing to travel to support project needs
- Previous DOE project experience
- ASME NQA-1 experience
- Current or former US security clearance
- Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce consolidated designs
