Position Overview:
EBALDC is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Lead to join our Property Management department. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our rental units and common areas, safeguarding the property’s appeal and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure timely completion of service requests and unit turnovers.
  • Conduct janitorial, painting, and repair tasks for vacant units efficiently.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies as per the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  • Monitor and maintain plumbing, heating, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure security and lock systems are functional throughout the premises.
  • Maintain organized and safe storage and work areas.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and maintenance needs.
  • Report any hazardous conditions or extensive repair needs to the Property Manager.
  • Assist in conducting move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and Property Manager on maintenance programs and capital improvements.
  • Ensure properties meet general building standards and sustainability goals.
  • Order maintenance supplies as directed.
  • Share on-call duties for emergency repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance requests and preventative maintenance logs.
  • Perform janitorial duties to ensure cleanliness and curb appeal.
  • Assist with furniture relocation as needed.
  • Establish and adhere to a work priority system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate knowledge of building repair trades and safety requirements.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and set priorities.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance work.
  • Skills in performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and perform building maintenance.
  • Experience in interacting with residents and addressing concerns effectively.

Certifications:

  • Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation for transporting tools and materials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $68,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
