Position Overview:
The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) is entrusted with the critical role of evaluating patient and family health challenges and resources, while also leading the development, execution, and assessment of the nursing care plan delivered by the nursing team.
This RN is committed to providing safe and effective nursing care to all assigned patients, employing the nursing process effectively.The Float Pool RN is also responsible for guiding and supervising the personnel involved in patient care, as well as administering specialized nursing care in accordance with the designated unit and the treatments prescribed for patients.
This role necessitates the RN to cater to patients across all age groups, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the functional and developmental stages of those served. Furthermore, it requires full engagement in upholding the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. Proficiency in English is mandatory, with bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish; English/French) being advantageous. Training in Emergency Department or ICU is essential.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required, which should encompass adequate clinical and leadership exposure to ensure proficiency.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Louisiana RN License
- Current BLS/ACLS De-Escalation Certification
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty is preferred.
