Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join our team at Phillip Jeffries. As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales team in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Salesperson/Customer Support: Act as a key team member and support the sales team in achieving sales goals, coordinate with sales daily to gain alignment on work execution, research data needed for sales team to land new customers and orders, handle and respond to client and sales team inquiries, and maintain IT systems with up-to-date information on customer status, orders, and activities.
  • Lead to Order Conversion: Assist in converting leads to orders by executing excellent follow-up activities, handle basic lead/order status issues, and communicate directly with sales, customer, and operations to convert leads to orders.
  • Order Entry: Enter and process customer price quotes, reservations, and firm orders, process customer payments and credits, create sample orders sent in directly from customers or by the sales team, and capture leads from events, tradeshows, etc., into the proper systems.
  • Data Entry: Keep all systems (ERP, CRM, Customer Engagement System) up-to-date with customer status, orders, and activities, customer account and contact information, and enter or edit any information in any system to ensure all parties know the status of a customer for handling the next step in lead to order conversion.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service, sales, sales support, or a similar field.
  • Based in Long Island, New York.
  • Experience supporting trade field sales preferred.
  • Experience with customer servicing tools preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales experience a plus.
  • Interior design experience a plus.
  • Passionate, driven, and humble individual.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Customer-centric mentality.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
