Position Overview

HirefinderRPO is seeking dedicated full-time attorneys specializing in children's law to provide comprehensive legal representation for minors and young adults involved in the child welfare system. The selected attorneys will manage a diverse caseload, engaging directly with clients to guide their legal advocacy journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular consultations with child and youth clients to assess their legal needs and develop advocacy strategies.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including status hearings, motion hearings, and trials.
  • Participate in mediations, negotiations, and treatment team meetings to advocate for the best interests of clients.
  • Perform legal research and draft necessary legal documents and pleadings.
  • Advocate for child victims of crime, including those affected by human trafficking, and engage in systemic advocacy to enhance child welfare practices.
  • Assist youth clients in navigating the juvenile justice system.

Qualifications

  • Active member of the Florida Bar Association.
  • Experience working with low-income populations, crime victims, veterans, or other marginalized groups is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of diverse communities.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload while maintaining professionalism in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team of attorneys, support staff, and community partners.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Constructive interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.

Work Schedule

  • Day shift, Monday through Friday.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time exempt position offers a competitive starting salary of $65,000, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
