Job Summary:

Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead teams of engineers and technical professionals in schematic design and PS&E for highway projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project design teams, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide guidance and direction to project teams, including workload management, scheduling, and QA/QC.
  • Lead multi-discipline support consultant teams in project development and design.
  • Pursue and win contracts with state and municipal clients.
  • Present new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship building.
  • Attend design review meetings and interact with clients and support staff.
  • Track budgets using financial metrics.
  • Participate in professional associations and attend industry networking events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
  • 15+ years of multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 10 years' managing projects from conception to completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and/or contracts for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Ability to technically and professionally mentor members of project teams.
  • Ability to remain flexible to changing client demands.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organization.
