Senior Project Manager

Audubon Companies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead complex and large-scale projects in the Environmental Services business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary interface between the project team and the client representative, serving as the face of Audubon to the client.
  • Create, execute, and revise project execution plans to meet client requirements and project metrics.
  • Identify and manage resources needed, ensuring team responsibilities are clearly defined.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables.
  • Ensure all deliverables are reviewed, approved, and signed off prior to issue to the client.
  • Enforce Audubon standards and procedures, ensuring project teams adhere to company policies.
  • Review project transactions and report any discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Approve invoices within a 48-hour turnaround, ensuring timely payment.
  • Maintain resource planning on assigned projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Remain accessible to clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing a single point of contact for specific requests.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and/or Environmental Scientists/Planners, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Drive the Management of Change philosophy, enforcing corresponding procedures.
  • Serve as the champion for safety and quality on the project, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Review and approve subcontractors' contracts and invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the overall execution of projects, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of the sales/Business Development process, executing it effectively.
  • Understand the relationship between multi-discipline deliverable packages, including procurement and construction activities.
  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate team members' contributions, motivating them to work together efficiently.
  • Effectively utilize team members to their fullest potential, mitigating conflict and communication problems.
  • Keep track of lessons learned, sharing them with team members and peers.
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization, providing insights for business development.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree and 15 years of relative experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relative experience.
  • Education Preferred: BS Environmental Science/Ecology, Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience Preferred: 10 years of experience as the Project Manager on large multi-discipline projects, business development success.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling techniques and software.
  • Knowledgeable in cost estimating and control.
  • Able to speak comfortably in a group setting.
  • Understanding of all applicable discipline deliverables.
  • Financial Management.
  • Understand complex revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections, making decisions accordingly.
  • Understand our pricing model and billing procedures.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
